The NubAbility Athletics Foundation, in partnership with Scottish Rite Hospital, is excited to host the 2nd Annual #DontNeed2 Lone Star Camp, for limb-different different youth and their siblings, ages 4-17.The camp will be held November 9th and 10th in the Dallas, TX area, for youth, with either congenital or traumatic amputations, to teach them valuable skills that will allow them to compete with their peers in mainstream sports.
The camp will bring in a team of 13 limb-different coaches from around to country to coach the campers and their siblings.NubAbility’s mission is to get the campers out of the stands, off the bench and into the game, giving them confidence to face any challenge in life. The experience to learn from coaches that look like them, is an invaluable experience at camp.
On Saturday, November 9, in partnership with West Mesquite High School, Lanny Frasier Middle School and the city of Mesquite, TX, our athletes will participate in a variety of sports, including football, soccer, baseball, softball, cheer and tumbling.
On Sunday, November 10, in partnership with Adaptive Training Foundation in Carrolton, TX, our athletes will be empowered to transform their lives through exercise and community, learning the importance of strength, conditioning and muscle symmetry.
