Javan is a seasoned marketing professional with more than a decade of communications experience. With his expertise in branding, community marketing and public relations, he has focused his career on destination marketing.

Javan formerly directed day-to-day operations at Experience El Dorado in Kansas. He played a crucial role in promoting the city, boosting its’ brand awareness and increasing tourism. Javan also served as Vice President of the South Central Kansas Tourism Region and as a board member for the Travel Industry Association of Kansas (TIAK).

Javan relocated to Mesquite in 2023 where he is responsible for overseeing the marketing efforts for Visit Mesquite, managing the division and promoting economic development through tourism.

Violet comes to Mesquite with 25 years of customer service experience, with 14 years in retail sales as a store manager, and 11 years in Hospitality Management. Before working for the City of Mesquite, Violet was the Director of the Front Office for the Hilton Anatole Hotel. While at the Anatole, she held various positions including Front Office Trainer and Reservations Manager. Violet is eager to assist and welcome all visitors to Mesquite, Texas.

Rhonda has dedicated 20 years to serving the citizens of Mesquite. She spent 18+ years in the Purchasing Department for the City of Mesquite, retired, and then transitioned to Visit Mesquite as a part-time Visitor Center Specialist. Her knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and great attitude show as she welcomes Mesquite visitors.
