On Friday, June 21, at 12:30 p.m., the City of Mesquite will host a “Mesquite CommUNITY Pride Month” event at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Avenue. The public event is in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the LGBTQ Pride Month.
City Manager Cliff Keheley said, “Our hope is that this event will present Mesquite as a community that supports its diversity.”
The event is being planned in conjunction the Dallas County District Attorney’s LGBTQ Task Force, Eastfield College’s Prism Student Club and community leaders.
The program will include brief remarks from speakers, light refreshments and other activities.
