Itinerary

Kick off your boots at one of our local hotels and eat like a local. We recommend the legendary Mesquite BBQ (home of the best Brisket in Texas) in Downtown Mesquite or Carnitas Ahualuco just north of the Mesquite Arena.

Grab breakfast at a local diner such as Mesquite Diner or Country Diner. If you want to eat light stop by our local coffee shop, Bear Cave, for coffee and a pastry. Explore life on the prairie before the big city lights of Dallas dominate the skyline and tour Historic Mesquite. We recommend lunch at Porky’s Burgers & Wings – one of the top-rated local burger shops in DFW. Dust off your boots and grab your hat to finish the day at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo! The rodeo takes place every Saturday, June through August, and features a different theme each weekend!
