End Your Bachelor Party in Mesquite

Your Texas bachelor party is probably gearing up to be an epic excursion with the boys! If Dallas is your glass of whiskey for a bachelor party, your weekend will probably look like bar crawls, live music, delicious food, drinks, and more drinks — but did you ever consider taking a day or two to wind-down and soak in the sights after a wild weekend in the city?

With its close proximity to Dallas, and its abundance of relaxing and recuperating activities like golfing, fishing, and chowing down on authentic mesquite bbq — Mesquite, Texas is the perfect place to end your Dallas bachelor party.

Check out our favorite low-key bachelor party activities below.

Golfing at Mesquite Golf Club

With 50+ years of history, 154 acres of green, and an 18-hole course, Mesquite Golf Club is what “Real. Texas. Golf.” is all about! Whether your bachelor party is filled with expert golfers or complete novices, everyone will have a good time. And hey, losers can buy drinks!

Gone fishing at City Lake Park

If you and the boys are more about kicking back and cracking open a beer while sitting by the water, then a fishing excursion at City Lake Park may be the perfect recuperation activity for you! During the year, the lake is occasionally stocked with foot-long catfish by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Neighborhood Fishin’ Program — and if you’re lucky you may just be able to catch the big guy who’s managed to outlive numerous rounds of restocked catfish!

Get Some Grub

Mesquite, Texas is known for its mesquite BBQ — right after rodeos and cowboys — so if your bachelor party is looking for an authentic, mesquite BBQ, party-in-your-mouth, good time, you’ve come to the right place.

Mesquite BBQ is a local favorite that has been family-owned and operated for the past 63 years! They are home to the original Oyler Barbecue pit, and still use it to make their famous pulled pork, savory brisket, and other BBQ favorites.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was born in 1941 and has since been known for specializing in authentic slow-cooked barbecue.

Soulman’s Bar-B-Que has been serving up delicious BBQ to the Mesquite area for over 40 years and quickly became a popular destination for a welcomed departure from “run of the mill” BBQ.

And that’s just the start! Check out our complete list of authentic mesquite BBQs here.

Mesquite is known as the “Official Rodeo Capital of Texas” which means this isn’t our first rodeo, folks!
