Constructed in 1985, the iconic Mesquite Arena is home to the Mesquite Championship Rodeo
and the Mesquite Outlaws
. The arena has recently undergone a $2 million renovation to bring in features such as a jumbotron, upgraded VIP suites, removable turf surface for arena soccer games and professional locker rooms.
The Mesquite Arena is at the heart of the live music scene in Mesquite, welcoming a wide array of award-winning musical acts with an equally broad mix of genres. Notable past performers include country music all-stars Mark Chesnutt, Travis Tritt, Clay Walker, legends, Keith Sweat, The Commodores and The Temptations. In terms of genres, there’s been everything under the Texas sun, including country, funk, Latin music, classic rock, and even R&B and hip-hop at the Hip-Hop Cowboys Spring Rodeo.
