The Mesquite Convention and Visitors Bureau is a tourism organization under the City of Mesquite. We inspire travel to Mesquite and foster authentic experiences resulting in vocal advocates for Mesquite through utilizing new technologies and key trend insights in bringing the targeted visitor to Mesquite.

Passion for Mesquite is evident as Jessica McClellan leads the Mesquite Convention and Visitors Bureau. “If you build a place people want to visit you build a place where people want to live. If you build a place where people want to live, you’ll build a place where people what to work. If you build a place where people want to work, you’ll build a place where business has to be. And if you build a place where business has to be, you’ll build a place where people have to visit” is her favorite quote. She has 20 years of experience working with the public which includes being the Program Manager at the Utah Office of Tourism, as well as a City Planning Commissioner. She has a Bachelors in Political Science and then Public Administration. Additionally, she has earned the CDME Certified Destination Management Executive Credential from Destinations International.

Violet comes to the City of Mesquite with 25 years of customer service experience. 14 being in retail sales where she was a store Manager of Cato Fashions, and 11 years in Hospitality Management. Prior to working for the City of Mesquite, Violet was the Director of the Front Office for the Hilton Anatole Hotel. During her time at the Anatole she held various positions including, Front Office Trainer, and Reservations Manager. She is eager to assist and welcome all visitors to Mesquite, Texas.
