Javan is a seasoned marketing professional with more than a decade of communications experience. With his expertise in branding, community marketing and public relations, he has focused his career on destination marketing.

Javan oversaw day-to-day operations at Experience El Dorado, the Convention and Visitors Bureau for El Dorado, Kansas. He played a crucial role in promoting the city, boosting it's brand awareness and increasing tourism. Javan also served as Vice President of the South Central Kansas Tourism Region and as a board member for the Travel Industry Association of Kansas (TIAK).

In 2023, Javan relocated to Mesquite here he continues to apply his skills and experience as the Manager of Visit Mesquite. In this position he is responsible for overseeing marketing efforts for Mesquite and promoting economic development through attracting visitors to the community.

Violet comes to the City of Mesquite with 25 years of customer service experience. 14 being in retail sales where she was a store Manager of Cato Fashions, and 11 years in Hospitality Management. Prior to working for the City of Mesquite, Violet was the Director of the Front Office for the Hilton Anatole Hotel. During her time at the Anatole she held various positions including, Front Office Trainer, and Reservations Manager. She is eager to assist and welcome all visitors to Mesquite, Texas.
